Authorities are investigating the homicide of a 29-year-old man who was found lying on the side of the road at 4:15 p.m. Tuesday near the intersection of Cordova Avenue and Thurston Street in the city’s West Akron neighborhood.
A passerby called 911 to report the body.
Akron police and firefighters responded to the scene and found the body with multiple gunshot wounds.
The victim was taken to Cleveland Clinic Akron General Medical Center where he later died.
The victim has not yet been identified.
