A 20-year-old Akron man avoided gunshot wounds during a heated exchange over illegal drugs in Stow on Sunday by ducking down in the seat of his pickup truck and speeding away.
A warrant has been issued for Ryan Sturgeon, the man who allegedly fired shots. Sturgeon, 23, of Tallmadge, was charged with felonious assault.
The incident occurred at Lorwood and Echo Valley drives at about 2 p.m. Sunday.
According to police, the victim said he was seated in his truck’s driver’s seat when Sturgeon opened fire. The gunshots shattered his window, but he fled. He then returned to the area after police arrived.
Police declined to release any more information, citing the investigation as ongoing.
