The Ohio Department of Transportation is reminding highway motorists that lanes are shifting this week on Interstate 77 in southern Cuyahoga County and northern Summit County.
The state agency is moving the I-77 northbound lanes between the Ohio Turnpike and Oakes Road to the right lane and shoulder to begin widening work in the existing median.
The configuration is expected to remain through the fall.
Contractors also will close the right lane of I-77 southbound in the same area from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Monday through Saturday for work, weather permitting.
The $18 million project, taking place in Brecksville and a bit in Richfield, also will include new lighting, signage, concrete barriers and pavement.
