LAWRENCE TWP.: A Stark County couple are accusing Dominion East Ohio of bullying them over a driveway dispute.
Robert and Debbie Merchant, who live on Manchester Road, said they received a letter from the gas company ordering them to remove a driveway that has been on their property for more than 50 years, Beacon Journal news partner Newsnet5.com reports.
“I want them to treat me like a human being,” Robert Merchant told the television station. “Don’t come here and bully us.”
The driveway needs to be removed so the company can work on a pipeline on the property.
Tracy Oliver, a spokeswoman for Dominion, told the station that the company will continue to work with the property owner.
