CHIPPEWA TWP.: The man found dead in a wooded area in Wayne County last weekend was stabbed multiple times, Beacon Journal partner Newsnet5.com reported.
Jeremy Lesh, 44, of Perry Township, died from a stab wound to the heart, the television station said.
His body was discovered in the woods at 4:30 p.m. Sunday by a woman walking her dog near Clinton Road.
Authorities have said that someone tried to cover up the body and believe Lesh was killed elsewhere and his body was dumped there.
“This man was brutally killed and it is our job now to hold the killer accountable,” Wayne County sheriff’s Capt. Doug Hunter said. Read the full Newsnet5.com report here.
