It seems that kid from Akron took his musical talents to Olmsted Falls some six years ago to record a hip-hop song with friend-turned-Warriors-foe Kevin Durant.

Spider Studios (@SpiderStudiosOH) has tweeted out a 23-second snippet of the song, a collaboration of LeBron James and Durant while the then-Oklahoma City Thunder player was in Akron in 2011 to work out with James during the NBA lockout.

The recording starts out with Durant taking a jab at sports personality Skip Bayless and then introducing James.

James, who was with the Miami Heat at the time, raps that “it ain’t easy on the path I’m on. I put the world on my back because I’m that strong.”

James then prophetically raps that there’s “no way I die off, with this iron heart.”

Both players have decided to remain tight-lipped about the musical collaboration as both teams look toward Game 3 of the NBA Finals on Wednesday night in Cleveland with the Cavs looking to rebound and score their first win.

Spider Studios was created in 1995 and has produced records for performers ranging from Chimaira to Machine Gun Kelly.

In its Tweet, the studio said simply, “Here’s the Lebron James-Kevin Durant secret track! 1 million retweets to release the whole song!”

As of Tuesday afternoon, the Tweet was just shy of 10,000 retweets so the “lost” track may remain hidden from the public.

At the end of the short snippet released by the studio, James can be heard offering a rallying cry that is as relevant today as it was some six year ago when he uttered the words into the mic as the Cavs look to erase a 0-2 deficit in the Finals.

“This is the kid. King James. Akron 330. Let’s get them.”
