A country legend

Don’t be the coward of the county and miss a chance to see a true country legend perform. Kenny Rogers will headline a concert at 7:30 p.m. Sunday at the Canton Palace Theatre. Prize-winning concert

The Tuesday Musical 2017 Scholarship Winner Concert will be at 4 p.m., Fairlawn West United Church of Christ, 2095 W. Market St., Fairlawn. The concert is free. For more information, visit tuesdaymusical.org/education. Some 19 university music students received nearly $21,000 through Tuesday Musical’s 2017 Scholarship Competition that was held in March. There were 150 competitors.

Food trucks in Tallmadge

One of the area’s biggest single-day food truck rallies — this year with 28 trucks — returns to Tallmadge. The event, organized by the Tallmadge Parks and Recreation Department, will run noon to 6 p.m. , with the trucks again setting up in the Tallmadge Recreation Center parking lot at 46 N. Munroe Road, off East Avenue, east of Tallmadge Circle. Parking will be available at the nearby Tallmadge High School, 140 N. Munroe Road, and Munroe Elementary School, 230 N. Munroe Road. A shuttle will be available to transport people to the main event.

Wine event in Medina

Winemaker Mac McDonald be on hand at a Vision Cellars tasting from 3 to 5 p.m. at H2 Wine Merchants at 221 S. Court St. in Medina. McDonald, the son of a Texas moonshiner, established his winery in California. He is one of the few African-Americans in the winemaking business. The event is presented by locally owned wine distributor Bottle to Glass.

World Turtle Day is the time to celebrate our slow-moving reptilian friends.

Join Summit Metro Parks Naturalist Becca Zak to learn about local turtles from noon to 3 p.m. at Liberty Park Nature Center, 9999 Liberty Road, Twinsburg.
