The University of Akron is looking for two missing females, each approximately 65 years old with giant heads and four fingers on each of their hands.
They were last seen wearing dark blue sweaters and coordinating blue and gold beanie hats.
Neither are considered dangerous. Both are adorable.
It’s unclear if drugs or alcohol are involved in the disappearances, which happened sometime between May 12 and Thursday, overlapping with UA’s spring graduation.
Zippy I and Zippy II, where are you?
Kristi Reese, who manages executive events at the university, reported the school’s marsupial mascot costumes missing Thursday. Each is worth about $2,500, a police report said.
Reese told police she contacted all of the students who take on Zippy’s persona, and none of them knew what happened to the school’s famous Roo.
Zippy, UA’s website says, often hops off to Australia during the summer break to visit family.
It was unclear Saturday whether Interpol has been notified to check for sightings abroad.
