Journalist and author Susan Faludi, who made headlines in 1991 with the feminist classic Backlash, visits the Hudson Library and Historical Society at 7 p.m. Her latest book is about her father and his “many identity transformations,” including coming out as a transgender woman in his 70s. Give to a good cause, watch some baseball

The Akron RubberDucks and Two Men and a Truck are teaming up to raise donations for the Battered Women’s Shelter at the 6:35 p.m. game against Trenton. The first 200 fans who bring a donation for the shelter will get a free ticket.
