A 65-year old Akron man has been arrested and charged with raping an 85-year-old acquaintance.
The Summit County Sheriff’s Office this morning said William M. Clark was arrested Tuesday and charged with two counts of rape.
In July, an 85-year-old female notified the sheriff’s office that she had been sexually assaulted by an acquaintance. An investigation was initiated by the detective assigned to Adult Protective Services.
It was alleged that the suspect forcibly penetrated the victim during an encounter in mid-July. The victim subsequently sought medical attention. The victim suffered several injuries including a broken pelvic floor and torn ligaments in her hip.
Clark has been booked into the Summit County Jail, the sheriff’s office said.
