STOW: City police have arrested a man accused of firing a handgun last week during a disagreement over illegal drugs.
Cody Ryan Sturgeon, 23, of Tallmadge, is charged with felonious assault. He pleaded not guilty Friday in Stow Municipal Court.
Police responded to the area of Lorwood Drive and Echo Valley Drive at 2:05 p.m. April 2 to a report of shots being fired. The victim told police a man fired gunshots at his truck because of a disagreement over drugs.
No one was injured in the incident.
Court records state that Sturgeon allegedly shot at a man who ran from him with a bag of marijuana.
