Akron police are investigating separate shootings that sent two young men to the hospital.
In the first incident, a 23-year-old man was found shortly after 2 a.m. Monday with a gunshot would to the head. He was sitting in a chair in the living room of a house in the 1000 block of Murray Avenue in the city’s North Hill neighborhood. He was taken to Summa Akron City Hospital with serious injuries.
No suspects have been identified.
In the second incident, which occurred shortly before 4:30 a.m. Monday, an 18-year-old man from Barberton was found with several gunshot wounds to his torso in the 800 block of Dover Avenue in the city’s West Akron neighborhood. He was taken to Cleveland Clinic Akron General Hospital for treatment.
The victim said he was shot while standing inside a residence near the back door.
No description of the suspect was provided.
