A Lake Township couple who lost their son to an overdose is pledging to donate $1 million to develop a new drug treatment center in Summit County that would accept people from the surrounding area, the Canton Repository reports.
“We’re going to throw the first million in, so who’s coming?” Travis Bornstein told the newspaper.
Shelly and Travis Bornstein started the nonprofit Breaking Barriers — Hope is Alive after their son Tyler Bornstein and two others, Zach Warner and Tyler Westbury, all Lake High School graduates, died of overdoses.
