An Akron man was found guilty by a jury on Wednesday of raping his live-in girlfriend’s three daughters at the close of 2015.
Delacey Walters, 27, was convicted of nine counts of raping a child under age 10 and five counts of gross sexual imposition. He could face life in prison without parole. Summit County Common Pleas Judge Tammy O’Brien is set to sentence him on Feb. 16.
All three of the girls were younger than 10 years old. Walters cared for the girls while their mother was at work, and the girls told their biological father about Walters abusing them. He called police and took his daughters to a hospital for evaluation.
Doctors determined the girls had contracted a sexually transmitted disease from Walters, according to reports.
Prosecutors said Walters lied to police and attempted to hide test results to mislead investigators.
