WOOSTER: The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office is asking for help in locating a pickup owned by a man who was found stabbed to death in Chippewa Township last weekend.
Authorities are looking for a white 1996 Chevrolet S10 truck with an extended cab and blue cap. It also has ladder racks.
The Ohio license plate is GUD 7192.
It was owned by Jeremy Dean Lesh, 44, of Perry Township, who was found dead Sunday afternoon in a wooded area just outside Doylestown. He was reported missing by his family on Saturday after he had not been seen since Christmas.
His death has been ruled a homicide.
The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office posted a photo Wednesday of a similar pickup on Twitter and Facebook and asked the public for help in finding it.
Sheriff’s Capt. Doug Hunter said in a Facebook video that the vehicle most likely has been abandoned somewhere. He could not be reached for comment Thursday morning.
Anyone with information about the vehicle or case is asked to call the sheriff’s office at 330-264-3333.
