The former Green Little League president has been accused of stealing from the league for his personal use.
Timothy C. McCloud, 46, of Green has been charged with theft, a fourth-degree felony, and money laundering, a third-degree felony. He was booked into the Summit County Jail.
The Summit County Sheriff’s Office was notified in August that the Green Little League had more than $10,000 missing from its bank account. Detectives conducted interviews and a forensic accountant analyzed the league’s accounts.
Detectives determined that McCloud had been co-mingling his personal funds with Little League funds and used more than $27,000 in league funds for himself, according to the sheriff’s office.
Green Little League is a separate organization from Green Baseball Softball Federation, which has been in the community since 1958.
