An Akron man wanted in the shooting deaths of a Portage County couple has been arrested, the Portage County Sheriff’s Office and U.S. Marshals Service said Saturday.

David Darnell Calhoun Jr., 25, is in custody in the Nov. 30 double shooting homicides of Sarah Marsh, 32, of Kent, and her boyfriend, Leshaun Sanders, 33, of Ravenna Township. Calhoun, whose last known address is 917 Mull Ave., is currently on parole and also goes by the name “D Block.” The shooting occurred about 2:30 p.m. at a home on Henderson Road in Ravenna Township.

Portage County Sheriff David Doak said neither the suspect nor the victims lived at the residence, although the home may have belonged to one of Sanders’ family members. Sanders was found dead in the driveway. Marsh was taken to University Hospitals Portage Medical Center in Ravenna, where she died six hours later. Doak said Marsh was six to 10 weeks pregnant.

Calhoun was wanted on a warrant for three counts of aggravated murder.

No motive for the shooting has been given.

Doak will hold a news conference at 10 a.m. Monday at the Portage County Sheriff’s Office, 8240 Infirmary Road in Ravenna, to release details of the arrest. Meanwhile, Calhoun will remain in custody.

Last week, authorities doubled the reward for information leading to Calhoun’s arrest to $10,000.

Calhoun was released in March 2015 from Lorain Correctional Institution, where he had been serving prison time since 2010 on burglary and robbery convictions in Summit County.
