Authorities found two people unresponsive and suspected of ingesting opiates Thursday morning in a vehicle parked less than 100 yards from a hospital on Forge Street.
Beacon Journal news partner Newsnet5.com reported that two people appear to have suffered drug overdoses. They were discovered by Summa police hanging partially out of the Honda SUV, which was illegally parked Thursday morning on Forge Street near Summa Akron City Hospital.
Akron police told Newsnet5.com that Narcan, which can reverse the life-threatening effects of heroin and other opiate overdoses, was administered to the two, who were taken to the emergency room by first responders from the Akron Fire Department.
There is no word yet on the condition of either person.
